Moving Home!
I know I moved home like forever ago but I still wanted to blog about it. Really it was two weeks ago today that I arrived back in good ol' West Point. I decided to move home for a number of reasons, the main one being to save a ton of money. Like seriously Utah State, why did you go up so friggin much? We also knew we would have to move out of the place we were living cause we couldn't afford it without a third roomie, so we figured we might as well move home. I really hate moving so I think I will stay put for awhile now. The week prior to moving was pretty hellish(I'm really not sure if this is considered a swear word or not. I chose to use it though.) because I procrastinated everything to the last second! You know stuff like deep cleaning the apartment and acting like we keep it that clean all the time, transferring all the bill crap to a new address, and still taking time to soak in all the great things about Logan that will be dearly missed. My mom and Cade came up the Tuesday before we moved to get some of our bigger stuff with my dad's tiny twuck he just recently purchased. And the Marshalls also took a lot of our stuff home which is so much appreciated because I really don't know what we would have done without them! So after all our beds and couches and entertainment centers were gone we still had to live in the apartment until Saturday after we were done with work. Sleeping on our hard ground until Hollie was kind enough to bring an air mattress was totally blah. I think my back is still recovering from the experience. Anyway, Holly and I thought we would be perfectly fine to fit all the rest of our stuff in our cars....which we did for the most part! But I have to say, we are quite talented considering how much were able to fit into our two tiny cars. Why we have so much junk is beyond me. On Friday night we stayed up extremo late getting as much as we could into our cars and doing the tasks off of the ridiculous cleaning list from our apartment. Then on Saturday we woke up extremo early to finish everything up. We were really worried we weren't going to get our deposits back because Maple Valley seemed DEAD serious, but the lady took two seconds to walk through it and said everything looked great. All that work for nothin! So we pretty much couldn't move from all the movin and stuff....and we had to do it all over again when we got to West Point. You would think my family would be kind enough to offer some help to make the process a lot quicker and easier. But that did not happen. I do have to give my dad credit for having my room newly painted when I arrived! Yahoo! So, now I am just trying to settle in and get used to living with siblings again. That task is proving to be pretty difficult. But I am grateful to be living at home and saving money again! This is my old bedroom in J104. There were some crazy great times in that place and I am sad to be leaving it.
The picture does not show well enough how much crapola is in my car. It does show, however, how awful I look after the exhausting experience of moving! It was very scary to drive home in this death trap! She is literally getting sucked away.
And my new home. Well old and new. It's pretty great except for the parking situation.
