Montana Memorial Madness!!!

Gee golly! Memorial Day weekend was filled with so much fun, I don't even know where to begin! Holly's sister lives in White Hall, Montana so we decided to go up there for some great outdoor fun. For those of you that think there is nothing to do in the great state of Montana, you are very very wrong...and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Her sister lives on a big chunk of land and owns four wheelers, and dirt bikes, and horses, and ponds, and everything you can imagine! I have rode four wheelers before but this was my first experience with the dirt bikes. Eek! I think it was my first ride when I fell over into the creek. It pretty much scared the crap out of me. And instead of feeling sympathy for me when she saw me laying in the water with the bike turned over on me, Holly laughed! Oh well. I was pretty brave and just jumped back on and kept riding! For some odd reason I didn't know that you have to let off on the gas a little to shift, so also on my first and maybe even second ride, I would think I was in like third gear and be going way too fast for first! I knew the sounds the dirt bike was making could not be right. Whoops! There was this one semi-steep hill that Holly kept zooming up the entire trip. I kept to the flattest part of the trail I could find, so I would just watch her do this and wish that I was brave enough to attempt going up it. Every time we would pass it, I would speed toward it and turn in fear at the last second. But on our very last ride right before we left, I started speeding toward it, and what do ya know....I didn't turn! I did it three times even. But the retarded thing is, that that was probably the only time of the entire trip that I didn't have my camera around my neck. So, I didn't even get to document my accomplishment! I'm pretty bitter about this because I am kind of a wimp when it comes to stuff like this, and I just feel like that was the most courageous thing EVER! But I know in my heart that I did it so that's all that matters. On the last day we saddled up their horses and went for a ride in their little arena. This is probably the part of the trip that I was looking forward to most. But as it got closer and closer, I was actually kind of hoping we would decide to skip riding horses this trip. I mean they are beautiful animals, but once again, I was really scared to put my life in the hands of an enormous animal. But I conquered my fear and even had Pretty Boy at a slow trot....although it felt like a racing gallop to me! I feel like i'm ready to be an outstanding barrel racer at the next local rodeo. We also went on a short hike up in this really pretty canyon type place. Our goal was to spot some mountain goats cause I guess they are up there a lot or something. Unfortunately the only evidence of a goat, was some hair we found on the trail. But it was still really fun to be up in the mountains! That sounds a little odd coming from me cause i'm not much of a hiker and things of that nature. Mostly anything physically difficult puts me off my rocker a bit. Oh and there was this cave type thing that we really enjoyed posing by. That's cool. After the hike we took pictures in this really cool old barn at Holly's aunt's house. It really reminded me of the barn on split infinity. If you haven't seen that movie, you should because it's a really cheesy feature film for family movie that just lifts the spirits! The main girl in the show falls in the barn and goes back in time to learn some valuable life lessons, and you know what is strange?....Holly's dad fell down the stairs in this barn! I can laugh about it now because he is not hurt or anything. The only downfall of the trip was that it was pretty cold and rainy the entire time so we couldn't swim in her mini lake she has in her yard. (Like seriosly, that thing is HUGE!) Boo! Anyway, the rest of the weekend was filled with other fabulous activities like baby bunnies, puppies, clue(Which I won in our second round!), yummy food, etc!

Unfortunately there was a rain drop on the lense when this photo was taken. It was also unfortunate that we obviously fell to our deaths.
Looks like winter's sleep was not ready to be interrupted!
Puppies!!!!
Ok so it looks like I am wearing a dead serious boy scout uniform but that is not the case just fyi. I'm feeling pure terror at this point.

See the evidence from my fall? I'm pretty intense huh?
I guess we did see some wildlife!

Oh. My. Precious.

Mixed Emotions on the AI Homefront...

So, I am a huge American Idol fan, and I was especially invested this season for a number of reasons. One of them being the little David Archuleta from Murray, Utah. I think he has an incredible voice and I was definitely rooting for him all season. But I also love the other finalist, David Cook. Well I really love his voice that is. I went back and forth on his personality all season because I couldn't tell if he was really cocky or not. Plus a lot of people are saying he has a hair piece and that is just plain creepy for a 25 year old. Anyway, I thought I really wanted Archuleta to take the American Idol title, but now I am not so sure. I just don't know if he is ready for something that huge. I mean, he already really struggles with Ryan's simple questions. It's kind of awkward actually. He'll just stand there and stutter on a question like, "How did you prepare for this week?" I just want to yell through the screen, "The answer is PRACTICE, buddy!" So, I think what I am trying to say is that Archuleta has the voice, but I don't think he has the interview skills. Plus I still think he will be hugely successful so he has nothing really to cry about. So, congratulations David Cook! My advice to you is to try and not come off so arrogant because Simon says you are actually a really nice guy, so show it a little more. I really enjoyed pretty much everyone this season! Except for Amanda rocker chick. She has a pretty cute personality, but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Those are my thoughts until next season!

He really is quite adorable! Archuleta I mean. Well and the dog is too!

One thing I couldn't stand is that they would always comment about how original David Cook is, but he has said before that he finds his arrangements on itunes! Annoying. But he is talented.
Brooke was another one of my favorites this season. Even though she messed up pretty bad sometimes, I loved her voice when she would have a good performance.

For Narnia! And for Aslan! And for poor little Keaty!

So when this whole blogging thing became the new frenzy all around town, I absolutely LOVED other people's! They are so much better than facebook or myspace to see what is going on in people's lives. On those websites you have to navigate your way around other people's comments/weird inside jokes to find out what the person is up to! It can become kind of tedious and frustrating. But blogs, I definitely approve of. I wasn't so sure I would start one of my own though. I mean, I don't really have anything too exciting going on in my life. No kids, no engagements, only like 3 or 4 marriages....really i'm just a regular ol' gal. But I decided I wanted to start one. If not for other people to enjoy, than for myself. Journaling can give you some pretty intense hand cramps! So this first posty post it is just going to be what I am up to these days. Let's see....I am a licensed mountain woman and I spend my time making beautiful clothing out of leaves and branches. No, that's not true. I just finished my second year of college at the great Utah State University. School sucks so I am not going to expand on any details of my semesters. I did finally decide what I want to be when I grow up...a nurse! So look out for me all you sickies, cause I just might slip you a little something that will make you kick the bucket. That was quite evil of me to say! I am a nanny for three really cute(most of the time anyway) kids...Berkley is 8, Cooper is 5, and Keaton is 2! They are pretty crazy cool. Anyway, I live in a pretty adorable apartment here in Logan and it is uber fun! And I am going to Disneyland in 90 days! So, Friday night after I left work, Keaton and Cooper were throwing a baseball around in their downstairs living room. It fell betweeen the wall and their small entertainment stand, but that was not going to stop them from playing their super fun game I guess! Keaton tried to climb the T.V. to get the baseball and the television set fell right on him! He broke his femur, the poor little guy. So, right now he just has a soft cast on until Wednesday when he gets surgery. Then he'll have a cast from his belly button all the way down to his little toes! I feel so bad for him! And it's right before summer so he is just going to have to watch his older brother and sister have all the fun while he is pretty much bed ridden. So far he has just been laying on the blue chair watching T.V. Occasionally he asks for a dove chocolate. Not only does he think they are very tasty, he also thinks the cheesy sayings in the wrapper like, "Decorate your life" are hilarious. He seriously laughs for a good minute after every one I read to him. That's ok, if it keeps him happy, i'll read them to him all day! One thing is, I went to the new Narnia movie on Saturday night and it is A-MAZ-ING! I recommend it to all! Except for maybe kids under 8, it's a little intense.

Prince Caspian and Peter are really quite attractive in this motion picture!

Here he is enjoying one of the yummy chocolates and laughing at the saying, "Naughty can be nice." Weird kid if you ask me.
